Shelley first started in the human service field in 1995 but has held a variety of corporate jobs since then. She’s always been interested in human behavior and in helping improve people’s lives and is excited to be back. She was drawn to Nonotuck by the company’s core values and the kindness of the people she has met, and hopes her life experience, kindness and sense of humor will be an asset to the Nonotuck community. When she’s not at work, Shelley enjoys eating sushi, listening to alternative and classic rock, traveling, biking, golf and walking with her dog. She is inspired by the Jane Goodall quote, "You cannot get through a single day without having an impact on the world around you. What you do makes a difference, and you have to decide what kind of difference you want to make."

Learn how Nonotuck developed a love-based ideology of care. We started our shared living program as an alternative to group homes for people with disabilities. Instead, Shared Living creates genuine life transformation for people with disabilities, as well as families and communities. The true power of caregiving is found through hospitality, authenticity, and love.
