Nonotuck Hosts Massachusetts Attorney General’s Office Representatives for Disability Pride Month Discussion

Nonotuck Resource Associates was proud to host two representatives from the Massachusetts Attorney General’s Office in celebration of Disability Pride Month. On July 23, Nonotuck employees from across Massachusetts gathered in person and virtually to hear from Angela Clark and Ann E. Lynch as they provided an overview of their work within the Attorney General’s Office, discussed ongoing initiatives related to equity and disability rights, and answered questions from staff.

The session offered staff an opportunity to learn more about how the Attorney General’s Office supports inclusive practices, addresses discrimination, and advances protections for people with disabilities throughout Massachusetts. Throughout the discussion, speakers emphasized that the Attorney General’s Office serves as a resource for interpreting and enforcing Massachusetts law, helping organizations and community members navigate complex questions surrounding disability rights and civil rights protections.

Hosted by Nonotuck’s Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEI&B) Committee, the event reflected the organization’s ongoing commitment to creating opportunities for learning, dialogue, and community engagement around disability rights and inclusion.

Angela Clark serves as Chief of Organizational Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion at the Massachusetts Attorney General’s Office, where she leads initiatives focused on building a more diverse and inclusive workplace serving over seven million constituents across the Commonwealth. Prior to joining the AGO, Angela held leadership roles at Robinhood and Fidelity Investments, where she developed and implemented enterprise-wide diversity, equity, and inclusion strategies. She is also an adjunct professor at Boston College, teaching Managing Diversity in Organizations, and serves on the board of Raising Multicultural Kids, a nonprofit dedicated to fostering racial and cultural competence in local communities.

Ann E. Lynch has served as an Assistant Attorney General in the Consumer Protection and Civil Rights Divisions at the Massachusetts Attorney General’s Office since 2011. She currently serves as the AGO’s Disability Rights Coordinator, where she supports disability-related policy work, strategic litigation, outreach, and advocacy efforts across the Commonwealth. Her work focuses on enforcing anti-discrimination laws and protecting the rights of people with disabilities, including in fair housing and civil rights matters. Prior to joining the AGO, Ann represented survivors of domestic violence at Western Massachusetts Legal Services and clerked for the Massachusetts Superior Court.
