Happy Nurses’ Week! Nurses’ Week runs from May 6 through May 12 and coincides with the birthday of Florence Nightingale, the founder of modern nursing. The celebration also extends throughout May as Nurses Month, creating many opportunities to recognize the dedicated nurses who are central to our mission of providing personalized care and support to people with disabilities.

At Nonotuck Resource Associates, Inc., nurses play a vital role not only in providing medical care, but in enhancing quality of life for the people we support. They help design and implement care plans that honor each person’s dignity, independence, and unique needs, ensuring care is delivered with compassion and respect.

Our nurses are also strong advocates, working tirelessly to help ensure the people we support receive the services and resources they need to thrive. In addition, they educate staff, caregivers, and community members on best practices in supporting people with disabilities. Their expertise strengthens Nonotuck’s advocacy efforts and helps advance conversations around more inclusive, person-centered care.
