8 Wellness Tips for Work

As we navigate through this demanding period at work, we want to take a moment to express our appreciation for your hard work and dedication. Your contributions are invaluable, and we understand that these times may bring added pressures.

In light of this, we want to emphasize the importance of prioritizing your well-being. Your health and happiness are paramount, and we are committed to providing the necessary support and resources to help you maintain a healthy work-life balance.

Here are some gentle reminders and tips to support your well-being:

  1. Take Breaks: Don't hesitate to schedule short breaks throughout the day to refresh and recharge.
  2. Mindfulness Practices: Consider incorporating mindfulness techniques to center yourself and find moments of calm amid the busyness. Insight Timer is a great resource that is available to all Nonotuck employees. Sign up using your Nonotuck email to get access to Insight Timer @ Work for free.
  3. Movement: Incorporate brief moments of physical activity into your routine to boost energy and focus. Come together as a community for two special Yoga Breaks scheduled during audit week!
  4. Healthy Snacking: Opt for nutritious snacks to sustain your energy levels throughout the day.
  5. Social Connection: Take breaks with colleagues, fostering a sense of community and mutual support, even virtually.
  6. Technology Breaks: Set specific times throughout the day for technology breaks. Use calendar reminders or alarms to prompt you to step away from screens. Take your lunch break away from your desk and electronic devices. Use this time to enjoy your meal, relax, or engage in a non-screen-related activity.
  7. Walking Meetings: Consider holding walking meetings when appropriate. This allows for physical activity while discussing work matters and can contribute to a refreshing change of scenery.
  8. Wellness Hours: Use your Nonotuck Wellness Hours! This is your time to take care of your well-being in the ways that best support you. Take a nap, grocery shop, read a book, or get outside. If the scheduled times do not work for you please work with your supervisor to flex them to another time.

Thank you for your continued commitment and hard work. We truly value each member of our team, and your well-being is of utmost importance to us. We encourage you to reach out if you need additional support or resources.
