Timothy (Tim) Durkin's passion for human services was largely influenced by his personal experiences growing up alongside his younger brother, who has Down Syndrome. This profound connection to his brother not only shaped his career path but also instilled in him a deep understanding of the challenges and joys that come with caregiving.
Tim was drawn to Nonotuck's mission and values, finding a perfect fit for his commitment to serving others. Outside of work, Tim is devoted to raising his twin daughters and exploring new sights, always seeking new experiences and learning opportunities. His hobbies are a testament to his adventurous spirit and commitment to family.
A quote that resonates deeply with Tim is by the band Phish: “Hold the wheel, read the sign. Keep the tires off the line. Just relax, you're doing fine.”

Learn how Nonotuck developed a love-based ideology of care. We started our shared living program as an alternative to group homes for people with disabilities. Instead, Shared Living creates genuine life transformation for people with disabilities, as well as families and communities. The true power of caregiving is found through hospitality, authenticity, and love.
